Today, OLIVE TREE PEOPLE is the greatest conservationist in the Arroyomolinos de León region, where we buy large pieces of land to save the overgrown mountain olive trees in this nature reserve by cultivating and eco-certifying them. It is these mountain olive trees that not only provide oxygen for hundreds of thousands of people (see life cycle assessment), protect the soil from erosion and contribute to biodiversity – in addition to our world-award-winning, bioactive extra virgin arbequina oil, they also give us the globally unique Beauty Molecule Hydroxytyrosol, which is autochthonous only in these mountain olive trees, which perfectly protect human cells and which allow the trees to live up to 4000 years. Thus, we create a natural cycle that makes it possible to protect and preserve the millennia-old high culture of the mountain olive trees by reconnecting what is inseparable in nature: ecology and economy.

An approximately
100-year old olive-
tree has approximately 500,000 different
leaves on a total of 1,000 m².
It produces around 4.0 tons of oxygen annually.
It absorbs about 5 tons of toxic carbon dioxide
and one ton of dust.
In order to do this, it evaporates around 100 to 300 liters of water every day,
for hundreds of years.
For this, it requires a floor area of 3 x 3 meters.
In order to replace this tree, 2,000 (two thousand)
saplings would need to be planted.
The costs for this are 150,000 Euros!
