Where does it come from?
Maltodextrin is derived from plant-based starches, with the specific source varying by region. In the United States, corn or potato starch is most commonly used, while in Asia, rice is the preferred raw material. In Europe, wheat or barley serves as the primary source. At Oliveda, ours is derived from potatoes. The production process involves the enzymatic or acidic hydrolysis of starch, where the large polysaccharide chains are broken down into smaller dextrins, creating maltodextrin.

Maltodextrin is included for its ability to create a protective moisture barrier, shielding skin from environmental factors, and for its skin hydrating and conditioning properties.
Maltodextrin is used in F10, F11, F42, F67, F76, F83, B13, B15, B52 B54, H22 and H23 from OLIVEDA and 003 from LA DOPE and HT Pearl Primer Serum from OLIVE ROSE.
